You’ve heard alot of good things about Romania: the Danube Delta, the Carpathian Mountains, the Black Sea, the Romanian hospitality and the delicious traditional Romanian cousine. But are you hesitating to start an adventure to discover our country, because you also heard about the bad roads and the criminality?
For five years now we are travelling throughout Romania in our campervan and we can assure you that this is a safe country, a EU member since 2007. With a little bit of preparation, by informing yourself about good campsites where you can spend the night and choosing the good roads, your experience in Romania will surely be pleasant.
Be part of one of the groups that we organize to visit Romania! The advantage of our services is that we adress to the camper or caravan traveler that wishes to visit Romania worryless. We show you the best routes, we book your campsite pitch, we reccomend touristic objectives with specialized guides, we will be present next to the group in campings, when visiting points of interest or at the group meals.
The groups consist of tourists of different nationalities (from Holland, Poland, etc.) and we will use the English language for verbal and written communication. The groups with different nationalities have a special charm by spontaneous interactions and exchanging experiences between cultures.

What else you should know:
– there is a limited number of RV units (up to 12 RV units per tour), please check availability
– you need to book your place in the group by filling the forms (contact us at office@takethelongwayhome.eu) and paying 50 eur in advance, the rest will be payed entirely on the first day of the tour, during the first common meeting. You can cancel your reservation up to 30 days before the group tour begins, your advance payment will be returned on the transmitted bank account, minus transfer costs

About us:
We are Oana and Dan Casandroiu, a family travelling in a campervan, we founded a company that deals with consulting, as well as editing guidebooks and magazines. We live in Romania. For the past five years we have been at least one time in more than 80 campsites across Romania. We know the roads from our own experience, we know where the worth visiting places are and where can you find local produce. You will have access to real Romania, just as locals know it.
We are editing two guidebooks: ”Campsites in Romania” (the 4th edition now) and ”Campsites in Romania – Self-Guided Tours” (2 editions), as well as a magazine for RV enthusiasts in our country: ”Rulotism in Romania”.
